A key component of this project was collaboration with campus and community colleagues and organizations to promote understanding of conflict minerals and  the horrific plight of women in the wars fought in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Towards that end I and the cast participated in several presentations of excerpts and discussion panels for:

  • THE PHENOMENAL WOMEN'S CONFERENCE, sponsored by  KSU's Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics and Character: "Empowering Women's Health."

  • KSU's AFRICAN AND AFRICAN AMERICAN DIASPORA STUDIES STUDENT RESEARCH CONFERENCE: Friends of the Congo.

  • KSU's GENDER AND WOMEN STUDIES: Focus Week on Women's Health.
